The CSC 385 Internship course can serve as an upper-level elective for computer science and computer information systems majors, and it can apply to information technology major requirements. Application can be made for the course through the internship director. Although the Department of Computer Science may be able to provide information about available internships, responsibility for obtaining a suitable internship position rests with the student. The working hours/credit hours relationship depends upon the type of position and the number of hours worked per week. Ordinarily, fifteen or more working hours per week yield one credit hour per regular semester. Deviations in the working hour-credit relationship must be approved in advance by the internship director. Contact Dr. Pickard, the internship director, to apply or to get more information at email@example.com or (936)468-2508.
