Description of Sessions

East Texas high school students engage in activities and competitions designed and led by SFA STEM faculty, graduate and undergraduate students with the goal to inspire students to pursue a STEM career. Participants interact with STEM professionals representing a variety of STEM-related fields to better understand the preparation necessary for successful entry into a STEM career.

8:00 - 8:30 AM                      Check-in – Kennedy Auditorium

8:30 - 8:40 AM                      Welcome – Kennedy Auditorium

8:45 - 9:45 AM                       Discovery I – Designated Building and Room

10:00 - 11:00 AM                   Discovery II – Designated Building and Room

11:15 AM - 12:00 PM             Lunch – Baker Pattillo Student Center Cafeteria

12:20 - 1:30 PM                      STEM Competition – BPSC Grand Ballroom

1:30 - 2:00 PM                        Raffle, Surveys, Closing – BPSC Grand Ballroom
